Investment activities

The main targets for supporting investment activities in the city are:

• creating favourable investment climate to enhance investment activities;
• increasing the efficiency of municipal sector of the city economy;
• attracting investments into the city economy and social sector;
• creating a developed infrastructure in the city.

The task of working out and implementing the investment policy aimed at attracting investments into the city economy is being solved in the Department for Social-Economic Development of the City by the Economy Administration.

The main goals of the Administration are:

• defining the priorities of investment activities implemented with participation of the city administration;
• working out city investment projects to be implemented with participation of the city administration and their monitoring;
• providing for the city administration participation in the most efficient investment projects to be implemented together with both commercial and non-profit organisations;
• working out in co-operation with the city administration departments the guidelines and plans for the development of municipal companies and proposals for increasing the efficiency of their work;
• giving municipal support to companies implementing investment projects on the city territory.
